To all People to whom these Presents shall come Greeting Know ye That I Nathan POST 2d of Saybrook in the County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut For the Consideration of Sixty Pounds Lawful Money Received to my full Satisfaction of Lorenzo SMITH of said Saybrook Do Give Grant Bargain Sell and confirm unto the said Lorenzo his Heirs and Assigns forever. One certain Piece of Land lying in said Saybrook in Oyster River Quarter Containing Twenty Acres Bounded Westerly on a Highway Northerly on the Land of Jonathan BUSHNELL Easterly on the Land of David SEWARD and Southerly on the Land of Nathan POST Senior being in that part of Oyster River Quarter called Chapmut? Woods
To have and to hold the above Granted and Bargained Premises with the Appurtenances thereof unto the said Lorenzo SMITH his Heirs and Assigns forever to his and their own proper use and Behoof. Also I the said Nathan do for myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant with the said Lorenzo his Heirs and Assigns that at and until the ensealing of these Presents I am well Seized of the Premises as a good Indefeasible Estate in Fee Simple and have good Right to Bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above Written and that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever…Furthermore I the said Nathan do by these presents bind myself and my Heirs forever to Warrant and Defend the above Granted & Bargained Premises to him the said Lorenzo his Heirs and Assigns Against all Claims and Demand whatsoever
