Deed from Jordan POST to Abraham POST

To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting &c. Know ye that I Jordan POST of SayBrook in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England husbandman for and in Consideration of ye sum of twenty two pounds Currant money of the said Colony to me in hand before the Insealing hereof well & truly paid by Abraham POST of s'd Say-Brook in ye County & Colony aboves'd husbandman the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge & myself herewith fully satisfied and contented & thereof and of every part & parcel thereof Do exonerate acquit & Discharge the said Abraham POST his heirs executors & administrators by these presents have granted sold alienated & by these presents have given granted sold alienated & by these presents have given granted sold alienated & by these presents Do freely and fully & absolutely give, grant, sell alienate convey & confirm unto him ye said Abraham POST his heirs & assigns forever a certain parcel or tract of land scituate & lying in said Say-Brook in ye County & Colony abovd's in Oyster river Quarter at a place Commonly called Pond meadow together with part of said meadow butted and bounded as follows viz: the said land being by estimation Sixteen acres let it be more or less together, a sixth part of the said Pond meadow bounded northerly & southerly upon the JONES's lands Easterly and westerly upon the Common ye southwest corner is a Rock with a heap of stones about it from these running Northwardly to, then across s'd meadow to a Wallnut tree at the West Corner of said land then Eastwardly to Chestnut tree at ? standing by a ledge of Rocks thence Southerly to a white Oak tree marked with stones about it from thence westwardly to ye aforesaid Rock & heap of stones

To Have & to hold the said granted & bargained Premises with all the appurtaniances & Commodities to ye same belonging or in any ways appertaining to him the said Abrah'h POST his heirs executors administrators & assigns forever by these presents have given & granted unto ye said Abraham POST his heirs & assigns forever to make use of possess & Injoy s'd Demised premises with all ye appurtainances free and clear & freely & clearly exonerated and Discharged of an from all and all manner of former & other gifts grants sales leases mortgages with Intails & all other Incumbrances whatsoever furthermore I ye said Jordan POST for me my heirs executors & administrators Do Covenant & Ingage the above against ye lawfull claims & Demands of any person or persons whatsoever forever hereafter to Warrant Secure & Defend.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seal this Seventh day of May in ye Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George King of Great Brittain &c & in the year of our Lord God 1722,

To all People to whome these presents shall come Greeting &c. Know ye that I Jordan POST of Say-Brook in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England Husbandman for & in Consideration of ye sum of Six pounds Currant money of ye s'd Colony to me in hand before ye ensealing hereof well & truly paid by Abraham POST Jun'r in ye County & Colony & Town abovs'd Husbandman: ye Rec't whereof I do hereby acknowledge & myself therewith fully satisfield & Contented & thereof & of every part & parcel thereof do exonerate acquit and discharge ye s'd Abraham POST his heirs executors and administrators forever by these presents have given granted sold alienated conveyed & Confirmed & by these presents do freely fully & absolutely give grant sell alienate convey & confirm unto him he said Abraham POST his heirs & assigns forever a certain parcel or tract of land scituate being and lying in the bounds of SayBrook in Oyster River Quarter near Pond meadow Containing by estimation ten acres bit it more or less Bounded East upon Abrah'm POST land Southwardly upon Daniell POST's land westwardly upon ye Common & Northwardly upon the common the Northwest Corner is a Wallnut Stub with stones about it the North East Corner is a black oake Tree marked with three chops & stones about it,

To Have & to hold ye s'd granted bargained Premises with all the appurtenances ?eges & commodities to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him ye said Abraham POST his heirs & assigns forever to his and their only proper use benefit & behoofe forever & that the said Abraham POST his heirs & assigns shall & may from time to time & at all times forever hereafter by force & vertue of these presents lawfully peaceably & quietly have hold use occupie possess & Injoy s'd demised & bargained Premises with all ye appurtainances free from all & all manner of former & Other gifts grants sales leases furthermore I ye s'd Jordan POST for me my heirs executors & administrators Do promise Covenant & Grant to & with ye said Abrah'm POST that before the ensealing hereof I am ye true sole & lawfull owner of the above bargained premises & am lawfully seized & possessed of ye same in mine own right as a good perfect and absolute estate of Inheritance in fee simple & have in myself good Right & full power to sell alienate convey & confirm s'd bargained premises in manner as aboves'd furthermore I ye said Jordan POST for myself my heirs executors & administrators do Covenant & Ingage ye above Demised premises to him the said Abraham POST his heirs & assigns against the claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever forever here after to Warrant Secure & Defend,

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this seventh Day of May in the Eighth year of our Sovereign Lord George King of Great Brittain &c Anno Domini 1722.
