Deed from Daniel POST, Sen'r to Paybody GRENELL
To all People to whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye that I Dan'll POST Sen'r of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in consideration of Nineteen pounds ten shillings in currant money to me in hand paid by Pabdoy GRENELL of ye same Say-Brook have given granted and sold and by these presents have given granted and sold and conveyed unto him the said Paybody GRENELL his heirs and asigns forever Six acres and a half of land lying and being in Oyster River Quarter in Say-Brook aforesaid bounded West Thirty four rods on Sam'll JONES Land Easterly Fifty six rods on my own land. Southerly Twenty three rods on wd. GRENELL land the northwest corner is a white oak Stubb ye Northeast corner is a birch tree the Southeast corner is a stake and stones the southwest corner is a stake and stones the Southwest corner is a white oak Stubb all ye corners have stones about them.
To Have and to Hold ye above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances unto him the said Pabody GRENELL his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof.
And also I the said Dan'll POST for myself my heirs executors and administrators covenant with the said Paybody GRENELL his heirs and assigns that at and until the ensealing of these presents I am seized of the premises as a good Indefeasible estate in Fee Simple and have good right to Bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever,
And Furthermore I the said Daniel POST do hereby by these presents bind myself my heirs forever to Warrant and Defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said Paybody GRENELL his heirs and assigns against all claims and Demands whatsoever.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal ye eighth day of December in ye Tenth year of ye Reign of our Sovereign lord George ye Second of Great Brittain &c.King Anno Domini 1736.
