Deed between Abraham POST to Charles CALDWELL

To all people to whome these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I Abraham POST of SayBrook in ye County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for & in Consideration of the sum of Eighty six pounds Currant money Rec'd to my full satisfaction of Charles CALDWELL of Guilford in ye County of New Haven & Colony of aforesaid, Do Give Grant Aliene bargain sell Convey & Confirm unto the said CHARLES CALDWELL his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of upland & meadow situate in SayBrook aforesaid in Oyster River Quarter lying at a place & Known by ye name of bushy point. beginning at a black Oake stub near treacle hill brook up ye Country Road running thence westerly by ye Country Road fifty eight Rods to a White Oake stub about it thence Southerly one hundred and thirty three Rods & a halfe to a great Rock with stones upon it thence Southeasterly Twenty three Rods & a halfe to a stake in ye salt meadow with stones cast about it by Treacle Hill Creek then Running Northerly as ye Creek Runs to a stake with stones cast about it by he edge of ye Creek where ye Creek comes near ye upland thence Northerly Nineteen Rods & a halfe to a Red Oake tree marked thence Northeasterly Twenty Eight Rods to ye first mentioned boundariy Containing by Estimation twenty acres of upland & Eight acres of meadow be it more or less bounded Northerly by ye Country road Westerly & Southerly by ye land & meadow late of Joseph WATEROUS Easterly by ye Creek & John CHAPMAN's land with ye fences fruit trees timber stone & appurtainances to ye same belonging. To Have & to hold ye s'd granted & bargained Premises with ye appurtainances unto him the said Charles CALDWELL his heirs & assigns forever to his & their own proper use benefit & behoof. And also I ye s'd Abraham POST do for myselfe my heirs Executors & administrators Covenant with ye said Charles CALDWELL his heirs & assigns that before ye ensealing hereof I am seized of the premises as a good Indefeasible Estate in fee simple & have good right to bargain & sell ye same in manner & form as above written & that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever and furthermore I ye said Abraham POST Do by these presents bind myself & my heirs forever to Warrant & Defend ye above granted & bargained premises to him ye said Charles CALDWELL his heirs & assign forever against all claims and demands whatsoever,

In Witenss Whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty seventh day of October in the third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second of Great Brittain &c King Anno Domini 1729.
