Deed from Nathan POST to John BUCKLEY

Know all Men by these presents that I Nathan POST of Saybrook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and Consideration of the Sum of Thirty three pounds money in the old tenor received of John BUCKLEY of Saybrook in said County with which I acknowledge myself satisfied Contented and paid Have given granted sold and conveyed unto him the said John BUCKLEY One certain piece of land lying in Saybrook aforesaid being in Oyster River Quarter lying near falls river Bounded beginning at a white oak tree with stones about it. Thence running Easterly 24 rods to a chestnut tree and stones about it Thence Northerly 31 rods & half to a white oak tree with stones about it thence Westerly 26 rods to a white oak tree and stones about it Thence 38 rods to the first mentioned tree said piece of land containing five acres & a half more or less.

To have & to Hold the above bargained premises with the appurtenances thereto belonging unto him the said John BUCKLEY his heirs forever to their proper use. And furthermore the said Nathan POST, do for myself my heirs executors & administrators Engage to the said John BUCKLEY that at the ensealing hereof I am the lawfull owner and have good right to convey ye same And furthermore I the said Nathan POST do for myself my heirs executors administrators Do Warrant & Defend to him the said John BUCKLEY his heirs and assigns against all the lawfull Claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 14th day of November, A.D. 1748.
