To all People to whom these Presents shall come Greeting: Know ye that We Thomas SPENCER, Sam LORD, John BUSHNELL, Ebenezer INGHAM, Francis BUSHNELL and Joseph BUCKINGHAM all of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of two hundred and thirteen pounds currant money to us in hand paid by Zebulon LEWIS of Haddam in the County of Hartford and colony aforesaid have granted and conveyed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Zebulon LEWIS his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the Township of Say-Brook aforesaid containing one hundred and seventy four acres and is butted and bounded as folloeweth viz; North on Haddam line, and South partly on then acres herewith conveyed, and every other way else on Common land and is in width Easterly and Westerly 160 rods and in length on ye East side 180 rods and on the west side 168 rods and in length on ye East side 180 rods and on ye west side 168 rods ye North east corner is a Great White Oak tree, ye Northwest corner is a Black oak tree both being trees in Haddam line, ye Southeast corner is a white oak tree, and Southwest corner is a Black Oak all which trees are marked and stones about them, out of which lott or tract of land We ye grantors except Thos. MERRILLS Right in said lott which will amount to about thirteen acres and lyes yet in Common and undivided with our right which said right is hereby excepted. We also grant and convey to said Lewis ten acres of land bounded North of the aforesaid lott and every way else on Common land and is in length East and West eighty rods and twenty rod wide, ye Southeast corner is a red oak, ye Southwest is a small Red Oak, the Norwest is a Chestnut standing by a rock, the Northeast is the Southeast corner of ye above described tract.

To Have and to Hold the above described tract the above granted and bargained premises with all the appurtenances unto him ye said Zebulon LEWIS his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and Behoof and also we ye said above named grantors do four ourselves our heirs and every of us and them Covenant with the said Zebulon LEWIS his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents we are lawfully seized of ye Premises as a good Indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell ye same in manner and forme as is above written and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

And Furthermore we the above said named grantors do by these presents bind ourselves and our heirs forever to Warrant and Defend the above granted and bargained premises to him ye said Zebulon LEWIS his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.

In Witness whereof We have hereunto set our hands and seals ye 28th day of November in ye Eleventh year of ye Reign of our Sovereign lord George ye Second of Great Brittain &c. King Anno Domini 1737.

Rec'd Nov. 28th 1737 and entered from ye original, per Sam'll WILLARD Register.
