Deed from Miles MORGAN to Gideon CARTER

To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--GREETING.

KNOW Ye, That I Miles MORGAN of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut

for the consideration of one hundred & fifteen Dollars

Received to my full satisfaction of Gideon CARTER of s'd Killingworth

Do give, grant, bargain, fell, and confirm unto the said Gideon CARTER his heirs & assigns forever - a tract of land lying in s'd Killingworth north from his Swelling house - Beginning at His southwest corner at a heap of stones - thence Eastward 42 rods to a heap of stones - thence northward 8 ½ rods, to a heap of stones - thence Eastward 20 rods to a heap of stones -thence northward 54 rods to a heap of stones - thence westward 76 rods to a heap of stones - thence southward 54 rods & half to the first corner - Containing twenty three acres more or less - bounded south on his own & Elisha WILLARD's land - East on Joseph CARTER & John CHITTENDEN north on my own land & west on Zina KELSEY--

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Gideon CARTER his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also, I the said Miles MORGAN do for my self and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Gideon CARTER his heirs and assigns; that all and until the ensealing these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

AND FURTHERMORE, I the said Miles MORGAN

Do by these presents, bind my self and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him the said Gideon CARTER his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10 day of June Anno Domini 1803
