To all people to whom these presents Shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Benjamin MERRELL of Killingworth in the County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for the Consideration of sixty five pounds Currant money to me in hand paid before the Ensealeing here of by Benjamin CARTER of s'd Killingworth the Receipt where of I Do hereby acknowledge to full content & satisfaction therefore Do Give, Grant, Bargain Sell and Confirm unto the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of meadow Containing by Estimation three acres more or less lying and being in the Township of Killingworth afore s'd at a place Called the Gulf and is Bounded northerly by Jonathan LANE's meadow westerly by Joseph WILLCOCKS Jun his meadow Every other wayes on the River as it originally Ran allowing for salt pond with privilidge of passing and Repasing according to original Grants To Have and To Hold the above Granted and Bargained premises with the appurtenances there of unto the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns forever to his and thir own proper use and behoof and also I the said Benjamin MERRELL Do for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Covenant with the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns that at and until the Ensealeing of these presents I am well seised of the premises as a good Indefeasible Estate in fee simple and have good Right to Bargain an sell the same in manner and form as is above written and that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever and farthermore I the said Benjamin MERRELL Do by these presents bind my self and my heirs forever to warrant and Defend the above Granted and Bargained premises to him the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns against all Claimes and demands whatsoever In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seale the Eleventh Day of December in the fifteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second of Great Brittain &c King Annoque Domini 1741
