Deed from Joseph & Anne LYNDE to Deacon Joshua BUSHNELL

Know all men by these presents that We Joseph LYNDE of Saybrook in the Colony of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England & Anne my wife For the consideration of eighty pounds in bills of Credit of the old tenor in hand received of Deacon Joshua BUSHNELL of Saybrook to our full satisfaction Do give grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto him the said Joshua BUSHNELL his heirs & assigns forever Two hundred pound right in that common field in said Saybrook called and known by the name of the New ox-pasture being the half of that 400 pound Right which was formerly Mr. Benjamin LORD's of Saybrook Dec'd The Lott of upland belonging to said 400 pound Right lies in that part of said Ox-Pasture called the Middle point & half in the Eastern side of said Lot. The whole of which is bounded South on the Meadow West on the land of John KIRTLAND, North on ye land of Coll. WILLARD & East on the land of Joseph BUCKINGHAM, and the meadow belonging to said 400 pound Right adjoins to the afore described upland and bounds there on North, and west it bounds on the upland of Capt. Sam'll DOTY East on John CLARK's meadow and south on said Doty's meadow.

To have and to Hold the said granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Joshua BUSHNELL his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and Behoof. And also I the said Joseph LYNDE and Anne LYNDE for ourselves our heirs executors & administrators do Covenant with the said Joshua BUSHNELL his heirs & assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents we are seized of the premises as a good Indefeasible estate in fee simple & have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner & form as is above written: And that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever. And Furthermore we the said Joseph and Anne LYNDE Do hereby engage to warrant & Defend the above granted & bargained premises to him the said Joshua BUSHNELL his heirs & assigns against all claims & demands whatsoever.

In Witness whereof we the said Joseph and Anne LYNDE have hereunto set our hands & affixed our seals this 15th day of February in the 22nd year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second of Great Brittain &c., King A.D. 1748/9
