Know all Men by these Presents that Nathan Lewis of Haddam in Middlesex County, for divers good causes and considerations moving; especially for exchanges of Land received to my full satisfaction of John Arnold of Haddam aforesaid have remised, released and for ever quit claimed and by these presents do remise, release and forever quit claim unto him the said John Arnold his heirs and assigns forever all the Right and Title I the said Nathan have on, ought to have in or to a certain piece of Land lying in Saybrook adjoining Haddam Line at Turkey hill so called. Said piece begins at a stake of stones being the southwest Corner of said John's land, thence runs westerly in his line about fifteen rods to stake of stones, thence runs South in the line of David Arnolds land about twenty Rods to a black oak staddle marked of stones, thence runs Northeasterly about twenty Rods to the first mentioned Bound, being the same piece I leased to David Arnold deceased, continuing Ninety two Rods of Land be the same more or less.

          To have and to hold the Premises to him the said John Arnold his heirs and assigns, to the only use and behoof of the said John his heirs & assigns forever - so that I the said Nathan nor my heirs nor any person or persons in my name and behalf shall or will hereafter have any Rights or Title to the premises, but they and every of them shall by these presents be excluded and forever barred. In witness whereof I have herunto set my hand and seal this 7th day of May A.D. 1813 -
