To all Christian People to whom these presents shall Come We John GRISWOLD, Nathaniel PARMELE and Josiah STEVENS all of the Towne of Killingworth in the County of New London& Coloney of Conecticut in New England send Greeting Know Ye that we the s'd John GRISWOLD Nathaniel PARMELE and Josiah STEVENS as agents and Representatives for and in behalf of the Towne of Killingworth afores'd for a Valuable Consideration Received by the above s'd Towne of Ebenezer HURD of Killingworth afore s'd Have given, granted, sold, alienated, conveyed and Confirmed unto him the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs and assigns forever to Certain parcels or tracts of Upland Scituate and being in the ye Township of Killingworth afores'd (viz) First a grace of Land on the Northerly Side of Ye Long Poynt Easterly in the Planting field in length by the highway that goeth down the long point twenty four rods in breath at the Easterly End Nine rods at the Westerly End Eight rods, Alluring? a highway by ye meadow a rod wide s'd Land containing an ten and a quarter more or less, Bounded every wayes by highways. 2nd a tract of upland at the East end of the Great Hamak Beach in Breath at the Easterly End seven rods and a half: at the west end nine rods In length thirty six rods containing an acre and three quarter more or less, bounded Easty by Common or a Barnet-Knowle South by the Beach West of the Highway North by James STEVENS meadow. To Have & to Hold the above devised granted & bargained premises with all the appurtenances privileges & Comodites to the same belonging to him the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use benefit & behoof forever without any lett henderance molestation or disturbance from us or other of us or any other person or persons whomsoever Furthermore the s'd John GRISWOLD Nathaneill PARMELE & Josiah STEVENS By virtue of our being impowered by the Towne doe for and in behalf of the s'd Toune of Killingworth his heirs or any other in their names Covenant & Engage the above granted & bargained premises to him the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claims & demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever to Warrant Secure and defend in whereof we the s'd John GRISWOLD, Nathaneill PARMELE & Josiah STEVENS by virtue of our above s'd power & in the name & behalf of the toune of Killingworth set our hands & seales this tenth day of January Anodomini Seventeen Hundred & fourteen or 15, and in the first year of the Reigne of our Soverain Lord George King of Great Brittain &c
