we whose names are under written being thereunto appointed have this 30th Day of September 1724 Laid out to Robert CARTER the Land here after mentioned it being s'd CARTER's Right in ye 8 division as also John CHATFIELD's and Nathaniel BUELL's all their Rights in s'd 8th Division, and lying northward of Benjamin GRISWOLD;s house and at the uper end of pipe stone hill by Saybrook line begining at the southeast Corner of a Black oak tree marked stones Cast about it which is Benjamin GRISWOLD's north East Corner thence northerly 80 Rods to a Chestnut tree marked stoans Cast about it thence westerly 56 Rods to a Black oak tree marked stoans Cast about it, thence southerly 71 Rods to a whit oak tree marked thence Easterly 64 Rods to the first Corner Containing twenty Eight acres and thirty rods as it lyes Bounded southerly by Benjamin GRISWOLD;s Land other waies By Common Land
