To all Christian People to whom these presents Shall come Nathaniel PARMELE John LANE and Peter WARD of ye town of Killingworth in the County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut in N: England Sendeth Greeting Know ye that we the s'd Nathaniel PARMELE John LANE and Peter WARD as agents and Representatives for and in behalf of the town afores'd for a valuable Consideration Received by the above s'd Towne, of Grisham PALMER have given, granted, sold, alienated, Conveyed and Confirmed unto him the s'd Gersham PALMER his heirs and assigns forever a certain Tract of upland Situate and being at the East end of James STEEVENS Land at the great Laudacle? In the Town of Killilngworth beginning at a white oak tree marked at the northerly Corner thence Southerly fourteen rods to a white tree marked thence Easterly by the bank? Forty rods to a walnut tree or stadle marked thence Northerly Seven rods to a white oak tree marked thence westerly to the first mentioned corner containing two acres and a half more or less bounded westerly past by the Land of James STEVENS and part by Towne Land, Northerly by highway, Easterly and Southerly by the bank or beach, To Have and to hold the above bargained premises to him the s'd Gersham PALMER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only, proper use benefit and behoof forever, with all the privileges and Comodities to the same belonging without any let, hindrance, molestation or disturbing from the Town of Killingworth or any person whomsoever moreover we the s'd Nath'll PARMELE, John LANE and Peter WARD by virtue of ?? Impowered by the Towne, doe for the Towne of Killingworth their Heirs or any other in the ?? Covenant and Engage the above granted and bargained premises to him the s'd Gersham PALMER his heirs and assigns against all the Lawfull Claimes of any person or persons whomsoever to warrant secure and defend in witness whereof we the s'd Nath'll PARMELY John LANE and Peter WARD by virtue of our above s'd power have in the name of and behalf of the Towne of Killingworth set to our hands and Seales this second day of march in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and twelve or thirteen and in the Eleventh year of the Reign of our Soveran Lady Ann Queen of England &c.
