We whose names are under written being there unto appointed have thy first Day of September AD 1737 Laid out to Benjamin GRISWOLD the Land hereafter Described it being his Right in the 12 & 13 Division in Killingworth beginning at a Chestnut tree standing a little southwest from the bever Dam at the lower End of the Crambery meadow marked stones Laid about it measuring thence northwesterly 108 Rods to a white oak tree marked stones Laid about it thence Easterly 9 Rods to a Chestnut tree marked stones Laid about it ? Eastwardly 80 rods to a stake in the meadow which is a corner of C'pt Peter WARD's Land thence southwardly 24 Rods to a maple marked thence Eastwardly 14 rods to a white oak tree marked stones about it thence southwardly 35 Rods to a chestnut tree marked stons about it thence westwardly 20 Rods to a chestnut tree marked stones Laid about it ?? westwardly 9 Rods to the first mentioned Corner Containing twenty nine acres and fifty eight Rods as it is Bounded west by Common Land north party by Common and party by his own Land and part by Cap't WARD's Land ?? part by s'd WARD's Land party by his own Land and part by his own land & part by Common Land dated in Killingworth April y'e 1st 1738
