To all Christian people to whome these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Stephen KELCEY of Killingworth in the County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut in New England son of Lt. Daniel KELCEY for a valluable Consideration to me in hand paid before the Ensealeing here of by M'r Robert CARTER of the town County and Coloney afore s'd have Given Granted Bargained sold alliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do freely fully and absolutly Give Grant Bargain sell Allien Convey and Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Robert CARTER his heirs and assigns forever five acres of Land scituate in Killingworth afore s'd it being a part of a Certain Tract of Land Laid out to M'r George CHATFIELD, M'r Robert CARTER John CARTER and s'd Stephen KELCEY lying on Black oak hill that is on the west side of ?er hill begining at a Blackoak tree marked measureing thence westerly forty five Rods to a Chestnut tree marked stoans Cast about it thence southerly an hundred and sixteen Rods to a Burch tree marked thence Easterly forty five Rods to a Red oak tree marked, thence Northerly an hundred and sixteen Rods and an half to the first mentioned Corner Containing Thirty two acres and a half and twenty Rods Bounded Northerly and westerly by Samuel CARTER's Land otherways by the Comon To Have and To Hold six acres of the above described tract of Land with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Robert CARTER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own propper use benifit and behoof forever and I the s'd Stephen KELCEY for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant promise and Grant to and with the s'd Robert CARTER his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing here of I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Granted premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner of aboves'd and that the s'd Robert CARL CARTER his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Enjoy the s'd demised premises free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former and other Gifts Grants Bargains sales or Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever, moreover I the s'd Stephen KELCEY for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Do Covenant and Engage the above Demised premises ? to him the s'd Robert CARTER his heirs & assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demand of any person or persons whomsoever forever hereafter to warrant secure and defend In witness whereof I the s'd Stephen KELCEY have hereunto set my hand and seale this seventeenth Day of June Anno=Don one thousand seven hundred and twenty Eight and in the second year of his majesties Reign George the second King of Great Brittain &c
