Deed from William KELSEY to Benjamin CARTER

To all People to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye that I William KELSEY of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of Thirty pounds money to me in hand paid to my full satisfaction by Benjamin CARTER of Killingworth in ye County aforesaid have granted and conveyed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns forever Seven acres of land in Oyster River Quarter in said Saybrook on the West of Horse Hill Bounded Thirty five rods East on Highway and Northerly Twenty five Rods and West Twenty nine Rods & South ward Thirty five rods all on ye land belonging to the heirs of William BARBER, the North east and North west Corners are a black oak trees the South East and Southwest corners are Black oak trees the South East and South west corners are Wallnut trees all marked and stones about them.

To have and to hold the above granted and bargained Premises with the appurtenances unto him the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and Behoof.

And also I the said William KELSEY do for my self my heirs executors and administrators Covenant with the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am seized of ye premises as a good Indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell in manner and form as is above written.

And Furthermore I the said William KELSEY do by these presents bind myself my heirs forever to Warrant and Defend the above granted premises to him the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs against all claims and demands Whatsover.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the 24th day of March in ye Tenth year of our Sovereigns Reign George the Second of Great Brittain &c. King Anno Domini 1737.
