To all Christian People to whome these presents shall Come I Stephen KELCEY of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon & Coloney of Conecticut in New England send Greeting Know ye that I the s'd Stephen KELCEY for a valuable Consideration in hand Received before the Ensealeing and delivery of these presents of Daniel HURD of the town county and Coloney afore s'd Have Given Granted Bargained, Sold, Alienated, Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do fully freely Clearly and absolutely Give, Grant, Bargain, sell, Alien, Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns forever a Certain parcell or tract of Land scituate lying and bein on the Cow hill in the township of Killingworth afore s'd being a pice off of the southerly End of my Lott on s'd hill the whole Breadth of s'd Lott being forty four Rods East and west and in length up notherly fifty one Rods upon Each side of s'd Lott Containing fourteen acres more or less Bounded notherly ny the Remainder of my s'd Lott Easterly by the Land of Leu'tt Joseph WILLCOCKS southerly and westerly by highways, To Have and To Hold the above Bargained and Granted Land with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to the same belonging or any waies appertaining Right in Comons & after Divisions only Excepted To him the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benifit and behoof forever and I y'e s'd Stephen KELCEY for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant Grant and promise to and with the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing of these presents I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Bargained and Granted premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner as above s'd & that the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly have hold use occupie possess and Injoy the above Bargained and Granted premises with the appurtenances (Excepting only as above Excepted) free and Clear freely & Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of other and former Gifts, Grants, mortgages, Wills, Joyneurs Dowryes Entailes or Incumbrances in the Law whatso Ever moreover I y'e s'd Stephen KELCEY for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant and Engage the above Bargained and Granted premises to him the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever here after to warrant & secure and defend In witness whereof I the s'd Stephen KELCEY have hereunto set my hand and seale this tenth Day of August Anno=Domini seventeen hundred and twenty four and in the Eleventh year of the Reign of his Sovereign Lord George King of Great Britain &c
