To all Christian People to whom these presents Shall Come Greeting Know ye that I William KELCEY of Saybrook in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for and in Consideraiton of six pounds Currant money to me in hand well and truly paid before the Ensealeing here of by John CARTER of Killingworth in the County and Coloney afore s'd the Receipt where of I Do hereby acknowledge to full satisfaction Have Given Granted Bargained Sold alliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do freely fully and absolutely give grant Bargain sell allien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd John CARTER his heirs & assigns forever two small peices of Land scituate in the township of Killingworth afore s'd the first peice being ye 55th Lot in the Eleventh Division in s'd Killingworth lying on the hill a little west of John CARTER's house begining at a walnut Bush markt stones about it thence southerly twenty six Rods to a butternut bush by a breat Rock thence westerly twenty nine Rods to a heap of stones thence northerly twenty three Rods to an Elm staddle marked stones about it thence Easterly thirty six Rods to the first mentioned Corner Containing four acres one half and twenty Rods Bounded northerly & Easterly by highways Every way Elce by Common; The 2'd peice being the 77th Lott in ye Eleventh Division in s'd Killingworth lying on the west side of s'd CARTER's house Lott beginning at a heap of stones thence westerly two Rods & half to a heap of stones thence northerly 28 Rods to a heap of stones in s'd CARTER's Line thence southerly 28 Rods to the first mentioned Corner containing thirty five Rods of Land Bounded southerly by Common west by highway Easterly by John CARTER's home Lot To Have and To Hold the two peices of Land here in granted with all ye appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the s'd John CARTER his heirs & assigns forever to his and their only propper use benifit & behoof forever free and Clear and freely and Clearly acquitted and discharged of and from all manner of former gifts grants Bargains sales or other incumbrances in the Law whatsoever & I the s'd William KELCEY for my self my heirs Executors & administrators Do Covenant promise and grant to and with the s'd John CARTER his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing hereof I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Demised premises & Have good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner of above s'd & Hereby Bind and oblige my self my heirs Executors & administrators to warrant secure and Defend the Above granted & Bargained premises for ever to him the s'd John CARTER his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever In witness whereof I the s'd William KELCEY have hereunto set my hand and seale this Twentyeth Day of february anno-Dom' 1735/6
