Deed from Samuel JONES, Jr. to Thomas MOREHOUSE

Know all Men by these Presents That I Sam'll JONES Jun'r of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in consideration of ye sum of fifty five pounds money to me in hand paid by Thomas MOREHOUSE of Say-Brook aforesaid and in ye County and Colony aforesaid with which I acknowledge myself fully satisfied contented and paid, have give, granted bargained sold and do by these present freely and absolutely give, grant Bargain sell alienate and firmly make over unto him the said Thos. MOREHOUSE his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land in Say-Brook aforesaid and in ye Oyster River Quarter containing fifteen acres Bounded Eastwardly and Northerly on my own land and Westwardly on Common land and Southerly on a highway the East Corner is a small Rock and stones about it and thence running Northerly to a Dog Wood Stadle rods, thence Westerly forty rods to a stake with stones about it, thence Southerly thirty six rods to a small Black oak Staddle with stones about it thence Westward to a black oak tree with stones about it 19 rods, then Southerly to a Black Oak tree with stones about it 28 rods, thence Easterly 36 rods to ye first mentioned bound or Rock.

To have to hold all and singular the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances to him the said Thos MOREHOUSE his heirs and assigns forever as a good and Perfect estate of inheritance in fee simple and furthermore I the said Sam'll JONES Do covenant and grant for myself my heirs executors and administrators that at the ensealing hereof I am the sole owner of the premises and have in myself good right and lawfull authority to convey the same as abovesaid and that henceforth it shall be lawfull for the said MOREHOUSE and his heirs to enter upon use occupie possess and enjoy the same with out any ejectment or molestation from any person or persons whatsoever and furthermore I the said Sam'll JONES for myself my heirs executors and administrators covenant and ingage to warrant and defend the above granted premises to him the said Thos. MOREHOUSE his heirs and assigns &c., forever hereafter.

In Witness Whereof I Have hereunto set my hand and seal this 13th day of January A.D. 1741/2
