Know all men by these presents That I John JONES of Say-Brook, in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England, for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty Pounds Money in hand received of Thomas MOREHOUSE of Say Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut aforesaid with which I acknowledge myself fully satisfied contented and paid have given granted, bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmed and do by these presents fully freely and absolutely give, grant, bargain, aliene convey and confirm unto him the said Thomas MOREHOUSE to him and his heirs executors and administrators and assigns forever one certain piece or parcel of land being in Oyster River Quarter in the Township of Say-Brook aforesaid containing five acres lying about thirty rods South of the Highway against the house formerly Daniel POST's Jun'r just ov? A small swamp, bounded Westerly on Common land South on Daniel POST's land East on Daniel POST's land the Northeast corner a Red Oak Tree, thence running Southerly about twenty seven rods and a halfe to a White oak tree thence running Northelry about twenty four rods and a half to a white Oak Tree, thence Westerly about thirty two rods to ye first mentioned Red Oak tree.

To Have and To Hold said bargained premises with all and singular ye privileges benefits and appurtenances to the same belonging to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Thomas MOREHOUSE his heirs and assigns and I the said John JONES for myself my heirs executors Administrators do covenant with grant to and with ye said Thomas MOREHOUSE his heirs and assigns that at ye ensealing hereof I am the sole and lawful owner of the premises and therefore have in myself good right and lawful authority to convey the same as abovesaid and that the said Thos. MOREHOUSE his heirs and assigns shall and may henceforth and forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents enter upon have hold use possess and enjoy the same and every part thereof without any ejectment, Disturbance molestation or incumbrance of title whatsoever, and furthermore I the said John JONES for myself my heirs executors and administrators do hereby covenant and ingage the above demised premises to him the said Thomas MOREHOUSE his heirs and assigns against all the lawfull demands of any person or persons whatsoever to Warrant Secure and Defend.

In Witness whare of, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of November A.D. 1741.
