Deed from John INGHAM to Thomas SPENCER
Know all men by these presents that I John INGHAM of SayBrook in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for & in Consideration of ye sum of Eight pound money to me in hand paid by Mr. Thomas SPENCER of SayBrook aforesaid have given granted bargained sold and by these presents Do fully freely & absolutely give grant bargain sell aliene convey and confirm unto him the said Thomas SPENCER his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or parcel of meadow being at a place called ye hammocks in ye Township of SayBrook afores'd containing by estimation one acre & a half more or less bounded Westerly by eight mill River Easterly on a Creek Southerly on Caleb SPENCER's his meadow together with all my Right Title Interest & Claim in & unto all that tract of meadow which I bought of Sam'll DUNK be the same more or less
To Have & to Hold all and singular the above granted & bargained premises with all & singular the above granted premises with all the appurtainances prevelidges and Commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him ye s'd Thomas SPENCER his heirs and assigns forever free & clear & freely & clearly acquitted exonerated & discharged of from all & all manner of incumbrances whatsoever furthermore I ye s'd John INGHAM for myself my heirs Executors & administrators Do Covenant Prmise & Ingage the above demised & bargained premises with ye appurtainances To him the s'd Thomas SPENCER his heirs and assigns against the lawfull Claims & Demands of any person or persons from by or under me my heirs executors or administrators forever hereafter to Warrant Secure & Defend.
In Witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Thirteenth day of October Anno Dom. 1729.
Note that by ye words all my Right Title & Claim &c above written is to be underlined after that W'm BUSHNELL Jun'r has one acre & halfe of said tract of meadow secured to him which I have already verbally sold him.
