To All Christian People to whome these presents Shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Daniel HURD of Killingworth in the County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut in New England weaver for & in Consideration of the sum of forty shillings Currant money of the Coloney afore s'd to me in hand before the Ensealeing here of well and truly paid by John WRIGHT of the town County and Coloney afore s'd yeoman y'e Recip where of I Do hereby acknowledg Have Given, Granted, Bargained Sold, Alliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do freely fully and absolutly give, Grant, Bargain, Sell alien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd John WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever a certain parcell of meadow scituate in Killingworth afore s'd Adjoyning to the s'd WRIGHT's own Land beginning at the River measureing thence twelve Rods to a stake thence three rods to a stake thence eleven rods to a stake thence eight rods to a stake thence two Rods to a stake, thence five Rods to a stake thence five Rods to the River and from thence to the first mentioned Corner containing seventy five Rods and an half more or less Bounded southerly Easterly and northerly by s'd John WRIGHT's upland westerly by s'd Daniel HURD's own meadow To have and To Hold the s'd Granted and Bargained premises with all their appurtenances, privilidges and Comodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd John WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benifit forever and I the s'd Daniel HURD for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant promise and Grant to and with the s'd John WRIGHT his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing hereof I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Bargained premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner of above s'd and that the John WRIGHT his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and vertue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Injoy the s'd demised premises free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted and discharged of an from all and all manner of former or other Gifts Grants Bargains sales or incumbrances whatsoever in the Law moreover I the s'd Daniel HURD for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant and Engage the above demised premises to him the s'd John WRIGHT his heirs and assigns a ever forever here after to warrant secure and defend In witness whereof I the s'd Daniel HURD have hereunto set my hand and seale this sixteenth day of December Anno=Dom: one thousand seven Hundred and twenty three and in the ninth year of his majesties Reign George King of Great Britain &c
