To all Christian People to whome these presents Shall come I Daniel HURD of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England send Greeting Know ye that I the s'd Daniel HURD for a valluable Consideration in hand Receibed before the Ensealeing & Delivery of these presents of Stephen KELCEY of 'sd Killingworth in the County and Coloney afore s'd Have Given Granted Bargained Sold Allienated Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do fully freely Clearly and absolutly Give Grant Bargain sell alien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Stephen KELCEY his heirs and assigns forever a certain parcell or tract of Land scituate lying and being at the uper End of the little stone house hill in the township of Killingworth afore s'd as it there lyeth bounded (viz) begining at the northwest Corner of the s'd Stephen KELCEY's Land where stainds a white oak tree marked, runing thence norard twenty Eight Rods to a Chestnut tree marked stoans Cast about it, thence westward thirty six Rods to a white oak stree marked stoans Cast about it, thence southerly sixty Eight Rods to a white oak tree marked stoans Cast about it thence South Easterly fifty Rods to a Red oak tree marked stoans about it thence northerd thirty Rods toa white oak tree which is the north west Corner of the Land which the above s'd KELCEY bought of Brnjamin GRISWOLD, thence norerd forty five Rods to the first mentioned Boundary containing nineteen acres and a half & twenty Rods Bounded East in part by the s'd KELCEY's Land and part by Common otherwaies by Comon Land To Have and To Hold the above Bargained and Granted Land with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to the same belonging or any waies appertaining (Right in Commons & after Divitions only Excepted) to him the s'd Stephen KELCEY his heirs & assigns forever to his and their only propper use benifit and behoof forever and I the s'd Daniel HURD for my self my heirs Executors & Administrators Do Covenant Grant and promise to & with the s'd Stephen KELCEY his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing and delivery of these presents I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Bargained and Granted premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner as above s'd & that the s'd Stephen KELCEY his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and vertue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Injoy the above Bargained and granted premises with the appurtenances (Excepting only as above Excepted) free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of an from all and all manner of other and former Gifts Grants mortgages, wills, Joynturs, Dowryes, Entailes or Incumbrances in the Law more over I the s'd Daniel HURD for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do covenant and Engage the above Bargained and Granted premises to him the s'd Stephen KELCEY his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whome so Ever forever here after to warrant secure and Defend In witness where of I the s'd Daniel HURD have here unto set my Hand and seale this tenth Day of august Anno=Dominie seventeen Hundred and twenty four and in the Eleventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George King of Great Britain &c
