Entered March 27th 1843

To all people to whom these presents shall come-GREETING:

Know Ye, That I Nathaniel HURD of Clinton in the County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for the consideration of Three Hundred and fifty Dollars received to my full satisfaction of Nathaniel A. HURD of Clinton, County of Middlesex and State aforesaid do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Nathaniel A. HURD, his heirs and assigns forever the one half of a certain tract or parcel of Land situated in said Clinton the whole tract containing Fifty Rods and one fourth be the same more or less, together with one half of the Dwelling House and Barn thereon standing - it being the East half of said House and Land where I now reside, excepting that each party are to have the reciprocal use of the well and yards - Bounded Southerly Four Rods by Stage road Westerly twelve rods & three links by my own Land Northerly four rods by David TAYLOR's Land Easterly thirteen rods by the heirs of Mary Griffing - Also one half of one other tract or parcel of Land situated in said Clinton west of said Dwelling House it being the West half of said tract the whole tract containing Five eights of an Acre be the same more or less - Bounded Northerly by D. G. REDFIELD Easterly on David TAYLOR's & my own Land Southerly by Stage road and Westerly by O KNOWLE's Land

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained Premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Nathaniel A. HURD, his Heirs and Assigns for ever, to his and their proper Use and Behoof. And also, I the said Grantor do for myself and my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, covenant with the said Nathaniel A. HURD, his Heirs and Assigns, that at and until the ensealing of these Presents, I am well seized of the Premises as a good indefeasible estate in FEE SIMPLE; and have good right to bargain and sell the same, in manner and form as is above written; and that the same is free from all incumbrances whatsoever, excepting what is above written

And furthermore, I the said Nathaniel HURD do by these Presents bind myself and my Heirs for ever to Warrant and defend the above granted and bargained Premises to him the said Nathaniel A. HURD his Heirs and Assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this 14th day of October Anno Domini, 1842
