To all Christian People to whom these Presents Shall come Greeting Know Ye That I Ebenezer HURD of Killingworth In y'e County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut In New England for a Valuable Consideration in Hand Received of Justus HURD of y'e Town County and Coloney Afore Said have Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these Presents Do fully freely & absolutely give grant Aliend conveyed & Confirm unto him y'e s'd Justus HURD his Heirs and Assigns Forever Two Tracts or parcels of Land Situate and being in of township of Killingworth y'e first piece being and Lying near y'e Cornwell For? That was known to be Daniel GRISWOLD's dec'd, with my dwelling House FR?? Said Land containing ten acres more or Less Butted and Bounded south by Nathaniel CHITTENDEN's Land Southwesterly by y'e Highway west by Robert HURD's Land North by y'e Highway The Second piece of Land Lying on y'e Hill South ? of Robert HURD's Land in Killingworth in Length Eighty rods in Bredth Seventeen ?? Land containing Eight acres mor or Less Bounded Southerly by M'r Jared ELIOT west by y'e Highway Northwesterly by Robert HURD's Land North by Nathaniel CHITTENDEN's Land. Third piece of Land Lyeth South or Little below perkens Horspound H?D Sen Land Containing twelve acres more or less Bounded East by Saybrook Line South by Common Land west by Daniel CLARK Northwesterly by Said CLARK's Land y'e Forth parcel of Land or Salt Meadow Lying in y'e cove Between Long point and John WRIGHT's point Said Meadow or Sale ? Contianing two acres more Less Bounded westerly by y'e Meadow that was Ebenezer STEEVENS dec'd North by John WRIGHT's Land Southwesterly by Daniel HURD's Meadow Southwesterly by Long point To have and to hold y'e above Granted and Bargained Lands with y'e appurtenances Priviledges and Comodities to y'e Same Belonging in ? any wise appertaining to him y'e said Justus HURD His Heirs and Assigns for ever to his and only proper Use Benefit and Behoof Forever and I y'e said Ebenezer HURD for myself my Heirs Executors Administrators do Covenant Promise and Grant to said ?? Justus HURD his heirs and assigns that before y'e Ensealing of these presents ? of these that I am the sole owner of y'e above Bargained Premises and have in my self good Right Full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and Sell y'e Same as is aboves'd & that y'e said Justus HURD his Heirs and Assigns Shall and may from time to time and at all times forever thereafter by force and Vertue of these presents Lawfully and peaceably and Quantity from and Hold Use occupie and Injoy y'e said Bargained premises with y'e appurtenances free and Clearly accepted? Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of other ? Gifts grants Bargains Mortgages dowrys or Interests and Incumbrances in 'e Law whatsoever Furthermore I y'e Said Ebenezer HURD for my Self my Heirs Executors and Administrators do Covenant and Engage the above Bargained Premises to him y'e said Justus HURD his heirs and assigns ? y'e Lawfull Cliams or demands of any person or persons forever hereafter to warrant Secur and defend In witness whereof I y'e Ebenezer HURD have hereunto Set my hand and seal this 5th day of February Anno Domini one thousand seven Hundred and Fifty and y'e Twenty third year of y'e Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second
