To all Christian People to whom these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Ebenezer HURD of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England yeoman for a valluable Consideration to me in hand paid before the Ensealeing here of by my son Elnathan HURD of the Town County and Coloney afore s'd Have Given Granted Bargained Sold alliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do freely fully and absolutly Give Grant Bargain Sell Allien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns forever a Certain Tract or parcell of Land scituate in Killingworth afore s'd lying above uesell Rock on the west side of manunoustesit River in Length a hundred and sixteen Rods In breadth at the southerly End Twney four rods at the northerly End forty Eight Rods Containing twenty six acres more or less Bounded southerly by the Common Westerly by a highway Notherly by the Land of Sarg't George CHATFIELD, and Easterly by mammquetesit River To Have and To Hold the s'd Granted and Bargained premises with all the appurtenances privilidges Comodities and Right in Commons there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use & benifit forever and I the s'd Ebenezer HURD for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant promise and Grant to and with the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing here of I am the true sole and proper Lawfull owner of the above Bargained premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner of above s'd and that the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and vertue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Enjoy the s'd Demised premises free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of and from all manner of former or other Gifts Grants Bargains Sales or Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever, moreover I the s'd Ebenezer HURD for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Do Covenant and Engage the above Granted premises unto him the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever here after to warrant secure and defend In witness where of I the s'd Ebenezer HURD Have here unto set my hand and seale this Twelf Day of November Anno:Dominie one thousand seven hundred and twenty five and in the twelveth year of his Majesties Reign George King of Great Britton &c
