Entered march y'e 29th 1728

To all Christian People to whome these Presents Shall Come Greeting Know y'e that I Ebenezer HURD of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for a valluable consideration to me in hand paid before the Ensealeing hereof by my son Elnathan HURD of the Town County and Coloney above s'd Have Given Granted Bargained sold aliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do freely fully and absolutly Give Grant Bargain sell Allien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns forever the Lands here after described scituate in Killingworth afore s'd viz: Eight acres that I purchased of John MENTER Deceas'd lying above the mill pond by the Indian River forty four Rods in Length in Breadth by s'd River twenty nine Rods, at the north Easterly End next the highway twenty nine Rods and a half containing Eight acres more or Less Bounded Nothwesterly by the Brook and the Land of Cp't Sam'll BUELL, southwesterly by the River, northeasterly by the highway and Southeasterly by the Common Also another parcell of Land adjoining to the above Described it being a part of my seventh Division begining at a stake with stoans about it thence notherly sixty three Rods to a white oak tree marked with EH thence northeasterly twelve Rods to a Bush marked stoans about it thence Easterly forty six Rods to a pipridge tree marked which is the norwesterly corner of Cp't BUELL's Land thence southerly thirteen Rods to a whiteoak marked which is the southwesterly Corner of Cp't BUELL's Land, Bounded partly by the Land of John HULL and partly by the Land of Cp't BUELL Every way Elce by the first above Described Land and highways, also a parcell of Land lying near the above described land lying on the southerly side of the highway that Leads across from Cow hill to the Grist mill it being in Breadth southerly from s'd Cross highway seventeen Rods in length form highway to highway Bounded southerly by my own Land Every way Else by highways To Have and To Hold the above Granted premises with all the appurtenances privilidges Comodities & Righ in Commons unto the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benifit and behoof forever and I the s'd Ebenezer HURD for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators do Covenant promise and Grant to and with the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing here of I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above demised premises and have in my self good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner as above s'd and that the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and vertue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly have hold use occupie possess and Enjoy the s'd demised premises free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other Gifts Grants Bargains sales or Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever more over I the s'd Ebenezer HURD for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant and Engage the above Demised premises unto him the s'd Elnathan HURD his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever here after to warrant secure and defend In witness where of I the s'd Ebenezer HURD have hereunto set my hand and seale this Twelf Day of November Anno=Dom one Thousand seven hundred and twenty five and in the year of his majesties Reign George King of Great Brittain &c
