To all Christian People To Whom these Presents Shall come Greeting Know Ye that we Josiah HURD and Phebe his Wife both of Killingworth in ye County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for and in Consideration of ye Sum of thirty four Pounds in Bills of Credit of ye old tener to us in Hand Received by Benoni HILLYARD of ye above Said Town county and Coloney the Receipt thereof is to our Full Satisfaction have Given Granted Bargained and Sold aliened Confirmed and by these Presents do fully and freely and absolutely give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Convey and Confirm unto him ye Said Benoni HILLYARD his Heirs and Assigns forever two Certain Pieces of Land Lying in ye township of Killingworth afore Said the First Piece Lying at a Place Known by ye Name of Crempot? Beginning at ye South west Corner of s'd HILLIERD's own Land then Runing North on HILLYERD's Land to a Highway thence Runing East by s'd Highway to a River thence by said River to a Black oak tree which is a corner of GRISWOLD's Land thence Runing west to the First Mentioned Corner Containing Six acres & a Half more or Less as His Bound west by Said HILLYARD's Land North by Highway East by a River and South part by Said GRISWOLD's Land and George HULL's Land. The Second Piece Lying at a place Coled Hod a Little Southeast from Daniel WILLCOKE's dwelling House beginning at a heap of stones by ye Highway running thence Northeasterly Eighteen Rods to a heep of stones Runing thence northwesterly twenty four rods to a Heep of Stones by a Highway thence southwesterly twelve rods to a heep of Stones thence Southeasterly by ye Highway thirteen Rods to ye First Mentioned Corner containing one acre and a half as it lieth Bounded Northerly s'd Sam'll KELECY's Land in part and in part by Common Land otherwise by Highway To Have and to Hold ye above Granted two pieces of Land to him ye said Benoni HILLYARD his Heirs and assigns forever to his and their Use Benefit and Behoof Moreover we ye said Josiah HURD and Phebe his Wife to Covenant and with ye above named Benoni HILLYERD his Heirs & assigns that at and untill ye Ensealing of these Presents we are well seised ye Premises as a good Indefesible Estate in fee Simple and have in our Selves Good Right full Power and Lawfull Authority to Sell in manner and form as is above written and that ye Same is free of all Incumbrances in ye Law whatsoever Moreover we ye Said Josiah HURD and Phebe his wife do Bind our Selves our Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by these Presents forever to warrand Secure and defend ye above Granted Premises to him ye Said Benoni HILLYARD his Heirs and assigns against all ye Lawfull Claims or demands of any Person or Persons in ye Law whatsoever In witness whereof we ye above named Josiah HURD and ye said Phebe have Hereunto Set our Hands and Seals this twenty Seventh of November 1750 and in ye 4th year of his Mejesties Reign
