Entered May ye 6th 1702
Know all men by these presents that I Ebenezer HURD of Killingworth in the County of New London in the Coloney of Conecticut in New England Husbandman for the Consideration of fifteen pounds current money of New England to me in hand paid by Jared ELIOT of Killingworth which is to my full satisfaction Do Give Brant Bargain Sell and Confirm unto him the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of Land Lying and being scituate in the township of Killingworth at a place Called Pipe stove hill and adjoining to a certain farm or tract of Land belonging to s'd Jared ELIOT Bounded southerly by a white oak staddle with stones about it not far northward from land belonging to Daniel KELCEY being in length one hundred and Eleven Rods is Bounded westerly the whole length b?? farm or Land of Jared ELIOT the north westerly bounds being a white aok tree with stones about it and from thence Easterly two Rods and half to another tree by the highway with stones about it and is in some parts of it wide and some part narrow it being the wole of what was Laid out to me Joining to the Land of s'd ELIOT and is bounded Easterly by the Road or highway that Leads from the town plot of Killingworth up to tower hill and Hadam and Contains by Estimation Eight acres and an half more or Less is Bounded northerly and southerly by Land of the s'd that afore'sd To Have and To Hold the above granted and Bargained premises with the appurtenances there of unto him the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof and I the s'd Ebenezer HURD do for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Covenant with the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the of a good and Indefeasible Estate in fee simple and have good Right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as above written and that the same is free from all Incumbrances whatsoever and furthermore I the s'd Ebenezer HURD by these presents Bind my self and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and Bargained premises to him the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns against all Claims and demands whatsoever in witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seale with first day of may in the fifteenth year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the second of Great Brittain King and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty two
