To all Christian People to whome these presents Shall come I Ebenezer HURD of Killingworth in the county of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England yeoman sendeth Greeting Know ye that I y'e s'd Ebenezer HURD for and In Consideration of the Sum of twenty one pounds Currant money of the Coloney afore s'd to me in hand before the Ensealeing here of well and truly paid by Jared ELIOT of y'e town County and Coloney afore s'd Clerk ye Receipt where of I Do hereby acknowledg Have Given, Granted, Bargained, Sold, aliened, Conveyed and Confirmed and Do by these presents for my self my heirs Executors and administrators fully freely and absolutly, Give, Grant, Bargain sell alien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or percell of Land scituate in Killingworth afore s'd lying on the Long ??ll in Length Eighty Rods in Breadth fourteen Rods Containing seven acres as it is Bounded southerly by the Land of Leu'tt Joseph KELCEY westerly by the Comon Notherly by Land formerly belonging to Ebenezer CRANE now belonging to y'e s'd Jared ELIOT Easterly by the highway or Common Land To Have and To the s'd Granted and Bargained premises with the privilidges appurtenances Comodities Right in Common and undivided Land to the same to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benifit and behoof forever and I the s'd Ebenezer HURD Do for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant and promise y'e before y'e Ensealeing hereof I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the Granted and Bargained premises & have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to sell the same in manner as above s'd and that the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assign shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and vertue of these presents Lawfully peace ably and Quietly Have, Hold, use occupie possess and Enjoy the same as his & their only proper Estate of Inheritance in fee simple freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other Gifts, Grants Bargains sales or Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever further more I y'e s'd Ebenezer HURD for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do promise and Engage the s'd Granted premises to him the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes and Demands of any person or persons in y'e Law whomsoever forever here after to warrant secure and defend In witness where of I y'e s'd Ebenezer HURD have hereunto set my hand and seale this twenty first day of October Anno Dom one thousand seven Hundred and twenty five and in the twelveth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George King of Great Britain &c
