To all Christian People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I Ebenezer HURD of Killingworth ??? Connecticut and the County of new London yeoman for and in consideration of the summe of five pounds currant money of Newengland and already in hand the Receipt here of I do hereby acknowledge am herewith fully Contented and by these presents do fully freely and absolutely Give, Grant bargain sell alienate Convey and Confirm and by these presents have given, granted, bargained, sold alienated Conveyed and Confirmed unto Jared ELIOT of Killingworth and of Coloney and County above named to him his heirs Administrators or assigns for ever: a certain tract or parcell of upland scituate and being on the great Hammock in the Township of Killingworth afore s'd in breadth at the westwardly end fourteen rods at the Eastwardly end seven rods: and in length forty rods Containing two acres and an half more or less bounded westwardly part on the Land of James STEVENS and part by the Land of Daniell KELCY Sen'r southwardly by the bank or beach northwardly by the highway, To Have and To Hold the above granted and bargained Land to him the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns for ever to his and their proper use and behoof forever and I the s'd Ebenezer HURD do Covenant and promise to and with the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs executors Administrators and assigns that before the Ensealeing of these presents I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above bargained premises have in my good Right and Lawfull authority to bargain and sell the same as above s'd and that the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs and assigns shall and may at all times hereafter by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly have hold use occupie and Injoy the above granted premises with all the privilidges and appurtenances to the same belonging or any ways belonging free from all manner of other and former grants gifts morgages wills, intayles or incumbrances in the Law whatsoever moreover I the s'd Ebenezar HUD for my self my heirs Exexutors Administrators do Covenant and Engage the above Bargained premises to him the s'd Jared ELIOT his heirs Exeuctors Administrators or assigns from all Lawfull Claimes and demands of any person or persons whatsoever to warrant secure and defend in witness here of I the s'd Ebenezar HUD have set to my hand and seale this 20th day of March Annoq'd one thousand seven hundred and sixtee, seventeen and in the second year of our sovereign Lord George King of Great Brittain &:
