Entered May ye 4th 1742

To all Christian people to whom these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Lemuel HULL of Killingworth in ye County of New London & Colony of Conecticut in New England for and in Consideration of ten pounds currant money to me in hand Received fore the Ensealing of these presents of James MERRET of Killingworth in the Town County & Coloney afores'd the Receipt where of I Do here by acknowledge have Given Granted Bargained Sold aliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents do freely, fully & absolutely Give Grant Bargain sell allien Convey & Confirm unto him the s'd James MERRIT his heirs & assigns forever one Certain piece of salt meadow lying at the Lower End of the Neck in s'd Killingworth Bounded westerly by Gedion ALLENS meadow Easterly by the meadow that was William BARBERS Running from the upland to y'e hamanasit River being two Rods & a quarter wide Containing half an acre more or less To Have & to Hold the above Granted meadow with all the appurtenances privilidges and commodities to the same belonging or any wise appertaining to him the s'd James MERRET his heirs and assignsforver to his and their only use benefit and behoof forever free and Clear from all Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever & I the s'd Lemuel HULL for my self my heirs Executors and administrators do Covenant Grant & promis to & with the s'd James MERRIT heirs & assigns that before the Ensealeing here of I have Good Right and Lawfull authorit to bargain and sell the above Granted premises in manner of afore s'd and here by Bind and oblig my Self my heirs Executors and administrators to warrant secure and defend the s'd granted premises to him the s'd James MERRET his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or demands of any person or persons whomsoever in witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seale this third Day of may AD 1742
