Deed from William HART, Mary HART and Hamlin BLAGUE to John BURROWS, Samuel WILLIAMS Junior, Elizabeth his wife and Mehetabel BURROWS

Know all Men by these Presents that We William HART & Mary his wife, and Hamlin BLAGUE all of Saybrook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut for and in consideration of the sum of five pounds money to us in hand well and truly paid by John BURROWS and Samuel WILLIAMS Jun'r and Elizabeth his wife, and Mehetable BURROWS single woman all of Saybrook aforesaid the Receipt whereof Wee Do acknowledge ourselves therewith fully contented and paid have therefore remised released & forever Quit Claimed unto them the said John BURROWS & Sam'll WILLIAMS Jun'r and Elizabeth his wife and Mehetabel BURROWS their heirs and assigns forever all that the right Title Interest Claim Challenge or demand that we have might ought or ever shall have unto one half part of one certain Lot of land lying in Saybrook aforesaid containing about six acres bounded easterly on the highway Southerly on Sam'll KIRTLAND's land westerly partly on Sam'll KIRTLAND's land & partly on Daniel BUCKINGHAM's land and Northerly on Hamlin BLAGUE's land, And also one half part of One Island of Salt Meadow lying in Saybrook aforesaid containing in Quantity about six acres abutted and bounded as follows viz Westerly and Southerly on the North Cove, Easterly on Ragged rock Cove North on a small Creek which runs from said Ragged Rock Cove, and Also one half part of two hundred pound Right of land in the Ox pasture lying in said Saybrook, which Right is bounded North on the highway East on Timothy PRATT's Land West on Joshua BUSHNELL's land and South on Sam'll WILLARD's land.

To Have and to Hold the said released premises with all the privileges & appurtenances to the same belonging to them the said John BURROWS Sam'll WILLIAMS Jun'r and Elizabeth his wife and Mehetable BURROWS their heirs and assigns forever that is to say that half part of said first mentioned Lot of land that bounds Easterly on the highway so far as it goes, And so to run a parrellel North line with the Northeast corner of Sam'll KIRTLAND's land and the west part of said Island of Salt meadow, and the East part of the said Right in the ox-pasture. All said pieces of land and said piece of meadow to be equally divided for quantity & quality by Indifferent Men so that the said John BURROWS Sam'll WILLIAMS Jun'r and Elizabeth his wife and Mehetable BURROWS by force of this instrument from time to time forever hereafter enter upon the said released premises viz: The several parts as before expressed and the same hold use Improve possess and enjoy forever.

In Witness whereof wee the said William HART & Mary his wife and Hamlin BLAGUE have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this Second day of September A.D. 1748 and in the 22nd year of his Majesties Reign.
