Deed from Jedidiah HARRIS 2'd to Hubbel CARTER

To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--GREETING.

KNOW Ye, That I Jedidiah HARRIS Jun'r of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut

for the consideration of four Dollars--.

Received to my full satisfaction of Hubbel CARTER of s'd Killingworth

Do give, grant, bargain, fell, and confirm unto the said Hubbel CARTER his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract of Land lying in Killingworth adjoining to Land of s'd CARTER formerly owned by Daniel WILLIAMS Dec'd Beginning at white oak tree stones about it being the original bounds between the said Daniel WILLIAM's Land & Nathan WILLCOX Dec'd from thence southerly to a white ash staddle a little southwest from the spring from thence Easterly to a heap of stones on the s'd CARTER's line thence Northerly to the first Corner Containing Eighty Rods let it be more or less-Bounded east on s'd Carter's South & west on my own land--

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Hubbel CARTER his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also, I the said Jedidiah HARRIS 2'd do for my self and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Hubbel CARTER his heirs and assigns; that all and until the ensealing these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

AND FURTHERMORE, I the said Jedidiah HARRIS 2'd

Do by these presents, bind y self and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him the said Hubbel CARTER his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of Sept'r Anno Domini 1803
