Deed from Sarah & Walter GRISWOLD to James WRIGHT

Know all men by these presents that Walter & Sarah GRISWOLD of Killingworth in the County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for a valuable consideration to us in hand paid before the ensealing hereof by our brother James WRIGHT of Say Brook in the County aforesaid to our full satisfaction have given granted Remised Released Quit Claimed & Confirmed & by these presents Do fully & absolutely give grant bargain Remise Release Quit-Claim Convey & Confirm unto ye said James WRIGHT his heirs & assigns forever all the Right Title Interest Claim & Demand which we ever had now have or which our heirs executors or administrators in time to come may might should or in any wise ought to have or claim of in or to a certain tract or parcel of land situate in Say-Brook aforesaid excepting a small part at ye Northwest Corner by ye bridge which lyes within the Township of Killingworth aforesaid it lying by ye Dividing line between Killingworth & Say-Brook & is bounded as follows (viz) at ye Northwest Corner it is bounded by ye River called Mannuskatisech & from thence running Southerly by ye Country Road Six Rods to a stake with stones about it from thence it runs Southeast or there abouts thirty two Rods where there is another stake with stones about it & from that stake runs a little more Easterly to a chestnut tree that standeth in my dividing line between Say-Brook & Killingworth the distance between said stake & tree is about Eighteen rods & from ye aforesaid it runs Southerly one hundred & twenty four rods to a small walnut tree marked on two sides ye East & North & from thence it runs Easterly sixty Eight Rods to a stake stones about it by ye of a small creek that runs into the river and Easterly & Northerly it is Bounded with ye aforesaid River & meadow of ye said James WRIGHT & Westerly & Southerly by ye Common highway & ye upland & meadow formerly belonging to James WRIGHT's Grandfather to ye aboves'd James WRIGHT it being ye farme Commonly called & Known by ye name of the Hundred & twenty acres

To Have and to Hold ye said granted & Released Premises with all ye appurtenances priviledges & Commodities to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him ye said James WRIGHT his heirs & assigns forever to his & their only proper use benefit & behoofe forever free & clear freely and clearly without any manner of Reclaim Challenge or contradiction of us the said Walter & Sarah GRISWOLD our heirs executors or administrator without any account reckoning or answer therefore to be given Rendered or done in time to come to us or to their so that nether we ye said Walter GRISWOLD nor Sarah GRISWOLD our heirs executors or administrators nor any other person or persons for us or them shall or will at anytime here after have claim Challenge or Demand of ye said Released premises or any part thereof & there from ourselves & every of us shall be utterly excluded and forever debarred by these presents
