Deed from Daniel EDWARDS to Nathan POST

To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I Daniel EDWARDS of Saybrook in the county of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for ye said consideration two hundred pounds of old tenor money bills to me in hand received before the ensealing hereof of Nathan POST of Saybrook aforesaid the receipt hereof I do hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained sold conveyed & confirmed unto him the said Nathan POST his heirs & assigns forever Two certain pieces of land situate in said Saybrook lying in Oyster River Quarter, the first piece beginning at a white oak tree with stones about it, Thence Easterly 24 rods to a chestnut tree with stones about it. thence Northerly 31 rods & half to a white oak tree stones about it, Thence Westerly 26 rods to a white oak tree stones about it and thence 38 rods to the first mentioned corner lying Northeast of Falls River bounded upon ye Commons & undivided land, The other piece of land lying West from the aforesaid piece of land in said quarter Beginning at the Southeast corner at a white oak Stadle running Northerly 58 rods to a Red oak tree stones about it, Thence 34 rods to a white oak stones about it Thence Westerly still to the highway, to a white oak tree stones about it, thence Southerly Sixty one rods to a Rock with stones upon it, thence Easterly 47 rods to a white oak tree stones about it, still Easterly to a white oak tree with stones about it thence Southerly sixty one rods to a white oak tree with stones about it Thence Easterly Seventy rods to the first mentioned corner being a white oak stadle Bounded Easterly By Common or undivided land Northerly upon Ephraim BUSHNELL's & Common land, Westerly upon the highway, Southerly in part by Joseph STANNARD's and part by Ephraim BUSHNELL's & Common land the whole of both pieces of land containing fifty acres.

To Have and to Hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Nathan POST his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof, and also I the said Dan'll EDWARDS do for myself my heirs executors & administrators Covenant with the said Nathan POST his heirs & assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the Premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple & have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner & form as is above written and that the same if free of all incumbrances whatsoever And Furthermore I the said Daniel EDWARDS do by these presents bind myself my heirs forever to warrant & Defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the sd. Nathan POST his heirs and assigns against all claims & Demands whatsoever.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the tenth day of December A.D. 1746 in the 20th year of his Majesties Reign &c.,
