          Know all Men by these Presents, That I Arnold H. Hayden of Haddam in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving; especially for one hundred & eight Dollars & forty cents received to my full satisfaction of Horace Arnold of said Haddam Have remised, released and forever quit-claimed, and do by these presents for myself & heirs justly and absolutely remise, release, and forever quit-claim unto the said Horace Arnold & to his heirs and assigns forever, all such right and title as I the said Arnold H. Hayden have or ought to have in or to one certain piece of land lying in Haddam near the School House in Turkey Hill (so called) Containing four acres more or less & is thus Bounded:- Northerly on highway, Easterly on land of Obadiah Dickinson, Southerly on land of the said Horace, Westerly on land of Augustus Lewis, together with one half the dwelling house standing thereon. It being land mortgaged to me by the said Horace Arnold by a deed bearing date February 26th 1820 and is recorded in Lib. 18th Folio 212 of Haddam Record, To have and to hold, the premises unto him the said Horace Arnold his heirs and assigns, to the only use and behoof of the said Horace & his heirs and assigns forever, so that neither I the said Arnold H. Hayden nor any other person in my name and behalf, shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises, or any part thereof, by they and every of them, shall by these presents be excluded and forever barred.

          In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord 1822.
