To all People to whom these presents shall come: Greeting.
Know ye that, I John Arnold of Haddam in Middlesex County, CT, The state of Connecticut for the consideration of one Hundred and fifty dollars, Received to my full satisfaction of Horace Arnold of Haddam aforesaid, Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Horace his heirs, and Assigns forever a piece of land lying in Turkey hill south of Horace Arnold's Dwelling House. Said lot is bounded as follows Northerly on land of Horace Arnold East on Land belonging to the Heirs of David Arnold Deceas'd Southerly on Land of Ezkieal Shailer and Westerly on Land of Jonathan Clark said Lot Contains Seven Acres be the same more or Less.
To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Horace, his heirs and assigns for ever, to Him and their own proper use and behoof. And also, I the said John do for myself and my heirs, executors, and administrators, covenant with the said Horace His heirs assigns, that at and until the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises, as a good indefeasible estate in fee-simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.
And furthermore, I the said John do by these presents, bind myself and my heirs for ever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said Horace & His heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.
In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Fifteenth day of February Anno Domini 1819.
