To all People to whom these presents shall come: Greeting.

          Know ye, That I Alanson Arnold of Haddam in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut for the consideration of Sixty Dollars received to my full satisfaction of Horace Arnold of Haddam aforesaid, Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Horace Arnold, his heirs and assigns forever four certain pieces of land lying in Haddam aforesaid in Turkey hill the first piece contain four__ Acres more or less and is bounded as follows Northerly on David Arnolds Land Easterly on Samuel Arnolds Land, Southerly on Jonathan Clarks Land & Westerly on John Arnolds Land. Second piece contains two Acres more or less and is bounded as follows Northerly on David Arnolds Land Easterly on John Scovil's Land Southerly on Samuel Arnolds Land & Westerly on Hezekiah Shailer's Land. Third piece contains One Acre more or less and is bounded as follows Northerly on Samuel Arnold, Easterly on John Scovil's Land, Southerly on David Arnold's Land & Westerly on Hezekiah Shailer's Land. Fourth the piece contains One Acre more or less and is bounded as follows, Northerly on David & Alanson Arnolds Land Easterly on John Scovils Land Southerly on Samuel Arnolds Land & Westerly Hezekiah Shailer's Land & land all lyes in the Chimney Lot so called.

          To Have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Horace Arnold His heirs and assigns forever, to Him and their own proper use and behoof. And also I, the said Alanson Arnold do for myself and my heirs, executors, and administrators, covenant with the said Horace Arnold His heirs and assigns, that at and until the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises; as a good indefeasible estate in fee-simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

          And furthermore, I the said Alanson Arnold do by these presents, bind myself and my heirs for ever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said Horace Arnold & His heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

          In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twelvth day of December Anno Domini 1820.
