To all Christian People to whom these Presents Shall Come I Theophilus CRANE of Killingworth In the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England send Greeting Know yee that I the s'd Theophilus CRANE for & in Consideration of the full and just sum of fourteen pounds Eightten Shillinngs & six penc to me in hand well & truly paid before the Ensealeing of these presents by Ebenezer HURD of the town County & Coloney afore s'd the Receipt where of I Do herby acknowledg & my self therewith fully satisfied Content and payed & Every part there of I Do by these presents acquit Y fully discharge the s'd Ebenezer HURD, his heirs, Executors & Administrators forever & by these presents Have Given, Granted, Bargained, Sold, Allienated, conveyed & confirmed & by these presents Do fully freely & Absolutly Give, Grant, Bargain, Sell, Allien, Convey & confirm unto him the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs & assigns forever a parcell or tract of Land being my seventh Divion the sixty sixth Lott in s'd divition s'd Lott to Contain forty nine acres & three Quarters of which fiveteen acres was in Consideration of thirty Shillings paid towards the purchase of Saybrook by my father Cap'tt Henry CRANE To Have, and To Hold the above Granted & Bargained Land with all the appurtenances privilidges & Comodites to the same belonging or any waies appertaining to him the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs & assigns forever and I the s'd Theophilus CRANE for my self, my heirs, Executors, Administrators Do Covenant Grant & promise to & with the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs & assigns that before the Ensealeing of these presents I am the true sole & Lawfull owner of the above Granted & Bargained premises & have in my self Good Right full power & Lawfull authority to bargain and sell the same in maner as above as above s'd and that the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs and assigns shall & may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force & virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably & quietly, Have, Hold, use, occupie, possess and Injoy the above Bargained premises with the appurtenances free and Clear freely & Clearly acquitted, Exonerated & discharged of & from all & all manner of other and former, Gifts, Grants, mortgages wills, Joynturs, Dowryes, Entailes, or Imcumbrances in the Law whatso Ever moreover I the s'd Theophilus CRANE for my self my heirs Executors & Administrators Do Covenant & Engage the above Bargained & granted premises to him the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs & assigns against all the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever here after to warrant secure & defend In witness where of I the s'd Theophilus CRANE have here unto set my hand & seale this twentie day of August Anno.Domimie Seventeen hundred & Eighteen & in the fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George King of England &c
