To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--GREETING.

KNOW YE, That we Timothy CONE & Mehetabel CONE of the Town of Lansingburg in the County of Renesselaer and State of New York for the consideration of fifty two dollars and seventy one cents Received to our full satisfaction of Jerusha CARTER of Killingworth County of Middlesex State of Connecticut Do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Jerusha CARTER her heirs & assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land in the Township of Killingworth It being a right of land set out to Mehetabel CONE in the distribution of that part of the real estate of Samuel CRANE late of Killingworth deceased which was set out to his widow Mehetabel CRANE as her dower in said estate, and being the eastern side of the BARBER lot so called in the planting field near the Dam being the whole of her right in said lot. Beginning at the northeast corner at a stone by Noah LANE's land, thence running easterly by s'd Lane's land five rods & 10 links thence southerly by s'd LANE's land forty four rods & fifteen links to the meadow of Samuel ELLIOTT, thence southwesterly by s;d ELLIOTT's meadow to a point & measuring at right angles across near the south end four rods, thence from the south point northerly by land of Mary LESTER about fifty rods to the first mentioned corner, being bounded northerly & easterly by land of Noah LANE southeasterly & southerly by meadow of Samuel ELLIOTT westerly by land of Mary LESTER-

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Jerusha CARTER her heirs and assigns forever, to her and their own proper use and behoof. And also, we the said Tomothy CONE & Mehetabel CONE do for ourselves and our heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Jerusha CARTER her heirs and assigns; that at and until the ensealing these presents we are well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same if free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

AND FURTHERMORE, I the said Timothy CONE & Mehetabel CONE do by these presents, bind ourselves and our heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to her the said Jerusha CARTER her heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals this first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen
