Deed from Joseph CLARK to Ichabod WARNER
To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know ye that I Joseph CLARK of Saybrook in the county of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in consideration of forty pounds currant money to me in hand paid by Ichabod WARNER of the Town, County and Colony aforesaid ye receipt whereof to full content and satisfaction I the said Joseph CLARK do hereby acknowledge and thereupon do give grant bargain and sell unto the said Ichabod WARNER his heirs and assign forever a certain piece of land lying in the Township of Say-Brook it by estimation ten acres be it more or less which land is butted and bounded as followeth. Easterly with the highway, Northerly upon land in the possession of Andrew WARREN, Southerly on land in possession of Jonathan HOUGH, Westerly on the proprietors land which land is known by the name of CODNER's lott, with the priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging.
To have and to hold the said granted premises unto the said Ichabod WARNER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof so that I the said Joseph CLARK my heirs or assigns have claim or Challenge any right title or interest in any of the granted premises I the said Joseph CLARK my heirs or assigns or any other person by from or under me or them forever barred by these presents; And Furthermore I the said Joseph CLARK do promise for myself and my heirs forever to Warrant and Defend ye said granted premises unto the said Ichabod WARNER his heirs or assigns against me and my heirs or assigns or any other person or persons by from or under me or them forever.
In Witness Whereof I the said Joseph CLARK have hereunto set my hand and seal this 3d. day of Aprill Anno Domini 1738.
