Deed from Cornelius CHITTENDEN to Hubbel CARTER 2d
Know all men by these presents that I Cornelius CHITTENDEN of Saybrook in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving especially for the consideration of three hundred dollars received to my full satisfaction of Hubbel CARTER 2d of Killingworth in said Middlesex County-have remised released and forever quit-claimed and do by these presents for myself & my heirs justly and absolutely remise release and forever quit-claim unto the said Hubbel CARTER and to his heirs and assigns forever all such right and title as I the said Cornelius CHITTENDEN have or ought to have in or to a tract of land lying in s'd Killingworth near the Brickyard so called containing about fifteen acres be the same more or less it being the same tract of land which was made over to me by deed from the said Hubbel CARTER dated the tenth day of August AD 1813.-To have and to hold the premises unto him the said Hubbel CARTER 2d his heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of the said Hubbel his heirs and assigns forever so that neither I the said Cornelius CHITTENDEN nor my heirs nor any other person in my name and behalf shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises or any part thereof but they and every of them shall by these presents be excluded and forever barred.-In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 29th day of June in the Year of our Lord 1815-
