Deed from Caleb CHAPMAN to Nathaniel CHAPMAN

Know all men by these presents that I Caleb CHAPMAN of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England, for and in consideration of the sum of forty five pounds money in hand paid by Nath'll CHAPMAN of the same Say-Brook before ensealing and delivery of these presents to my full satisfaction have given granted sold alienated conveyed and confirmed unto him the said Nathaniel CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land lying and being in ye Township of Saybrook in Oyster River Quarter about fifteen acre more or less and is bounded as follows viz: West party on the highway that runs from potopague to pochauge and partly on Common land the Norwest Corner is a Black Oak tree with stones about it right against Ebenezer BUSHNELL's house from thence running South to a Great rock with Stones about it bound stones about it bounded south on Samuel DENISON's land running from said rock East to a Black Oak Stadle with stons about it bounded East by said Nath'll CHAPMAN land (running from said Black oak Stadle North to another Black oak stadle with stons about it Bounded North on Ebenezer BUSHNELL's land running West from the last mentioned Black oak Stadle to the last mentioned bound or Black oak stadle to the first mentioned Black oak Black oak tree. To have and to hold ye above granted and bargained premises with the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him ye said Nathaniel CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns for ever to his and their own proper use and behoof forever; And further the said Nath'll CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all time times hereafter have hold use occupie possess and enjoy all injoy all ye said Bargained premises with all ye appurtenances thereof free and clear from all other other and former gifts and grants and sale and other incumbrances whatsoever and further I the said Caleb CHAPMAN Do promise and oblige myself my heirs and executors to Warrant Secure and Defend ye above granted and bargained premises to him the said Nath'll CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whatsoever as Witness my hand and seal the 6th day of November A.D. 1741.
