Deed from Abraham CHALKER to John POST

Know all men by these presents that I Abraham CHALKER of Saybrook in the County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in Consideration of Six Pound which I have in hand received of John POST of said Saybrook with which I acknowledge myself fully satisfied Contented and paid Have given granted sold & Confirmed and by these presents do freely & absolutely give, grant, sell, convey, & Confirm unto him the said John POST his heirs & assigns six acres of land lying & being in Oyster River Quarter n ye Township of Saybrook aforesaid on the Northwest of Lt. Abr'm POST's land & is in Weadth Easterly and Westerly twenty nine rods and in Length Thirty Seven Rods the North East Corner is a Crotched Chestnut Tree the North west Corner is a Black oak tree standing on a hill the South west corner is a White oak Tree & the Southeast Corner is the White oak Tree that is a Corner of said Lt. POST's land, the land is bounded Northerly & Easterly on the lands of s'd Lt. POST Southerly on commons & Westerly n an highway:

To Have and to Hold said granted Premises with the appurtenances priveledges & Co0mmodities to ye same belonging to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him ye s'd John POST his heirs & assigns forever. & I the said Abraham CHALKER for myself my heirs Executors & administrators do hereby covenant and grant to & with the said John POST his heirs and assigns that I am at the ensealing hereof the sole & lawful owner of ye premises & have good right full power & lawfull authority to Dispose of ye same as abvoes'd & that henceforth it shall & may be lawfull for the said John POST his heirs & assigns by force & virtue of these presents to enter upon have hold use occupie posses & Injoy the described premises & appurtenances without any ejectment disturbance molestation or Incumbrance or title whatsoever & furthermore I ye said Abraham CHALKER for myself my heirs executors & administrators do hereby Covenant and Ingage the above Demised premises & appurtenances unto him the s'd John POST his heirs & assigns against the lawfull claims & Demands of all Persons whomsoever to Warrant Secure & forever Defend.
