Know all Men by these Presents, That I Jared CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving, especially for fifteen dollars received to my full satisfaction of David WRIGHT of Killingworth in the County and State aforesaid have remised, released, and forever quit-claimed, and do by these presents for myself and my heirs & assigns justly and absolutely remise, release, and forever quit-claim unto the said David WRIGHT and to his heirs and assigns forever, all such right and title as I the said Jared CARTER have or ought to have in or to a certain tract or parcel of land in the town of Killingworth 1st Society together with a dwelling house & barn and other buildings thereon standing & known by the name of the ROFSON? Place, bounded as follows viz, Easterly on Old Wharf road, southerly on Adam STANTON's land, and for a more particular description of s'd land, reference may had to Ebenezer ROPSON's? deed from Benjamin BALDWIN, containing a about half an acre of land be the same more or less.
To have and to hold the premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Grantor and his heirs and assigns, to the only use and behoof of the said Grantee and his heirs and assigns forever; so that neither I the said Grantor nor my heirs, or any other person or persons for or in my name and behalf, shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises, or any part thereof, but they and every of them, shall by these presents be excluded and forever barred.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty five
