Deed from Samuel and Betsey CARTER to Jonathan WRIGHT

To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--GREETING.

Know ye that for the consideration of one hundred & fifty Dollars

Rec'd to our full satisfaction of Jonathan WRIGHT of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex. We Samuel CARTER & Betsey CARTER of Saybrook in s'd County the s'd Betsey wife to the s'd Samuel & this ye Samuel in right of his wife --

Do give, grant, bargain, fell, and confirm unto the s'd Jonathan WRIGHT one certain piece or tract of land lying in the first society in s'd Killingworth - bounded Eastwardly on the highway leading to North Killingworth northwardly on land of John ROSSETTER westerly on land of Elnathan & Henry HURD southerly on Elnathan & Henry HURD - containing about fourteen acres be it more or less - formerly known by the name of Samuel HULL's place --

To have & hold the above bargained and granted premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the s'd Jonathan WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever, to his own proper use and behoof. And also, we the said Samuel & Betsey CARTER do for our selves our heirs, executors & administrators, do covenant with the said Jonathan WRIGHT his heirs and assigns; that at and until the ensealing these presents we are well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to sell the same in manner as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever & furthermore we the said Samuel & Betsey CARTER do by these presents, bind ourselves & our heirs forever to warrant & defend the above granted & bargained premises, to the said Jonathan WRIGHT his heirs & assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 28th day of September, Anno Domini 1807
