Know all men by these presents I Jared CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut for divers good causes & consideration thereunto moving especially for the consideration of five dollars received to my full satisfaction of Jedidiah STONE and Abel H. HINKLEY have remises released and forever quitclaimed and do by these presents for myself and my heirs justly and absolutely remise release and forever quitclaim unto the Jedidiah STONE and Abel H. HINKLEY and to their heirs and assigns forever all such right and title as I the said Releasor have or ought to have in or to the two certain tracts of land lying in the second society in Killingworth and Mortgaged to George & Jared CARTER & others by Elisha LANE January 24th A. D. 1822 for a particular description of s'd two tracts of land reference may be had to said Mortgage deed ___
To have and to hold the premises aforesaid unto them the said Releasors and their heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of the said Releasor and their heirs and assigns forever so that neither I the said Releasor nor my heirs or any other person or persons for me or in my name and behalf shall or will hereinafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises or any part thereof but they and every of them shall by these presents be ? and forever barred.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight.
