To all People to whome these Presents shall Come, Greeting.

KNOW YE, That I Sam'll CARTER of Killingworth In ye County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut in New England

For the Consideration of forteen Hundred pounds Current money of ye old tenor to me in Hand Received to my full Satisfaction, of Benj'n STONE of Guilford in ye County of New haven therefore

Do Give, Grant, Bargain, Sell, and Confirm unto the said Benj'n STONE his Heirs and assigns forever a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Lying in Killingworth at a place Called black oak Hill Beginning at ye Southwest Corner at a walnut tree Stones Cast about it thence Continueing North to a white wood tree Stones Cast about it thence Northwest to a Heap of Stones thence west to a Heap of Stones thence South to a Heap of Stones thence Southwest to a Heap of Stones on a Rock thence South to a Black oak tree Stones Cast about it thence Northwest to a Black oak tree Stones Cast about thence South to a Heap of Stones thence East to ye first mentioned Corner Containing Seventy two acres more or Less Bounded East by my own Land Sam'll KELCY's Land & ye Land of Theophilus MORGAN North by Ins. WILLIAM's Land west by the highway or Common Land down to ye River west by ye River in part by Tur?? Land Southeastby In?? PIERSON's Land west by Inst? PIERSON's Land & ye Heirs of Joseph EATEN South by Cap'r LANE also another Tract Lying on ye East side of ye above described premises Containing Eight acres Bounded west by ye above described Land North by ye Land of Sam'll KELCEY South in part by Common Land & in part by Cap'r LANE East by Common Land

To have, and to hold the above Granted, and Bargained Premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Benj'n STONE his Heirs, and Assigns for ever, to his and their own proper Use and Behoof. And also, I the said Samuel CARTER Do for my self my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, Covenant with the said Benjamin STONE his Heirs, and Assigns, That at, and until the Ensealing of these Presents, I am well Seised of the Premises as a good Indefeasible Estate in Fee Simple; and have good Right to Bargain, and Sell the same in Manner, and Form as is above Written; and that the same is Free of all Incumbrances whatsoever. And Farthermore, I the said Samuel CARTER do by these Presents Bind my self and my Heirs for ever, to Warrant, and Defend the above Granted, and Bargained Premises to him the said Benjamin STONE his Heirs, and Assigns, against all Claims, and Demands whatsoever. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the 25th Day of March In the 24th Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George ye 2d of Great Britain, &c., KING. Annoque Domini, 1750
