Know all Men by these Presents, That I George CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving, especially for the sum of Twenty seven Dollars & sixty five cents received to my full satisfaction of Eber RUTTY of said Killingworth have remised, released, and forever quit-claimed, and do by these presents for myself and my heirs & assigns justly and absolutely remise, release, and forever quit-claim unto the said Eber RUTTY and to his heirs and assigns forever, all such right and title as I the said George CARTER have or ought to have in or to one certain tract or parcel of land lying in said Killingworth first society together with a dwelling house and barn and other outbuildings standing thereon, it being the place where Eber TURRY now resides, Bounded as follows (viz) Northerly and Eastelry on the highway, Southerly by land of Jacob STANNARD and Westerly by land of W'd Mary RUTTY, containing by estimation seven acres of land be the same more or less

To have and to hold the premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Eber Rutty and his heirs and assigns, to the only use and behoof of the said Eber RUTTY and his heirs and assigns forever; so that neither I the said George CARTER nor my heirs, or any other person or persons for or in my name and behalf, shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises, or any part thereof, but they and every of them, shall by these presents be excluded and forever barred.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty eight
